Science Cafe on Chemistry and
Science Careers of the Future
October 6th, 9:00am – 3:00pm
A science cafe is an opportunity to engage the public in conversations about science in an open, casual format. It is open to all Cincinnati section members and guests, including the general public. There will be free coffee in the morning.
Featured Speaker: Bill Carrol, Vice President of Occidental Petroleum Corporation and 2005 President of the American Chemical Society will speak at 9:30 am discussing “The Evolving Chemical Enterprise: Where will we be in 2015.”
Bill’s presentation will be followed by discussions from chemists in the area.

5:30 – 6:50 pm: Poster Session/Social Hour (NOTE: You do NOT have to attend the banquet to participate in the poster session). The poster Session is open to anyone who wishes to participate. However, space is limited. Please register your poster early.
7:15 – 9:30 pm: Oesper Award Banquet. Dinner includes your choice of (1) Grilled marinated portobello mushrooms with pesto angel hair primavera, (2) chicken roulades with smoked mozzarella and Virginia ham, or (3) New York strip steak au Poivre. $20 (1/2 price for emeritus, students, unemployed and new members).
