6th ANNUAL FAMILY AND FRIENDS PICNIC
Sunday September 20, 2009 from 1:00pm – 5:00pm
Activities and entertainment will include food, drinks, music, liquid nitrogen ice cream, chemistry puzzles, chemistry demonstrations and a cornhole competition. Celebrate the end of summer and the beginning of fall by connecting with your old friends and meeting new friends.
Bring your family! Germania Park has a playground for children and playing fields for various sports. Conveniently located just north of Cincinnati, the park has a covered pavilion so it will be fun rain or shine. Bring your friend or cornhole partner! You might win a unique artist designed chemistry-themed cornhole game.
1:00 – 2:00 pm: Registration
2:00 pm: Food will be served
Food/Potluck: The section will provide grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, brats, metts, and chicken as well as condiments and drinks including beer, soft drinks and juice boxes.
Attendees are cordially requested to bring a dish to share. If your last name start name starts with A-M please bring a side dish or salad for 6. If your last name starts with N-Z bring a desert for 6.
Cost: $10 for individual members or $15 for members with their family or friends. $5 for individual retired members, first time chemists, K-12 teachers, students and unemployed members or $10 for the same with family or friends.

From I-275: Take the Colerain Avenue exit and go north on Colerain (Rt. 27) for about 2.5 miles. Take the Kemper Road exit and turn right on to kemper. Germania park is on the right after about 1.3 miles.
From I-275 W: Take exit #36 toward Mt. Healthy. Turn right on to Hamilton Avenue (Rt. 127) and go north about 0.8 miles. Turn left on to West Kemper Road. Germania Park is on the left after another 1.6 miles.
